PERWAKILAN Los Angeles

PERWAKILAN is an acronym for "Persatuan Wanita Kementerian Luar Negeri Malaysia" which, in English, is the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ladies Association.

• To encourage and foster cordial relationships among wives of officers, as well as lady officers.
• To carry out educational, cultural, social, and sports activities contributing to the above.
• To support members in their roles as wives of foreign service officers with information on the etiquette, customs and traditions of Malaysia and those countries with which Malaysia has political/social connections.
• To establish contacts, develop relationships, and cooperate with other registered Malaysian women’s public and volunteer organizations and individuals for their mutual advancement.
• To compile, edit, and publish a newsletter and other printed literature for the advancement of the association and for the promotion of its members' interests in compliance with the printing press ordinance of 1984.
• To help members and their families enjoy better accommodations at home and abroad by requesting and helping to provide basic essentials at nominal fees.
• To collect and raise funds for the attainment of the organization's objectives.

Ordinary Membership is open to wives of diplomatic staff and women working in all departments of the Malaysian Foreign Service.

Associate membership is open to wives of former Malaysian Foreign Service officers, former lady officers, wives and officers of non-governmental and semi-governmental agencies, wives of military, trade and education attaches, and Malaysian women residing permanently in Los Angeles.
